Kaitlyn Hansen

PRICE - Kaitlyn Hansen, age 15 passed away May 2, 2015 due to a traffic accident. She was born in Payson, Utah to Gregg A. & Emily Hansen on July 3, 1999. Kaitlyn was born in Payson and raised in Castle Dale until age 14 where she attended San Rafael Jr. High. In Jr. High she enjoyed being a cheerleader, science student of the year and on the National Jr. Honor Society. As an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints she received her Young Womanhood Recognition before turning 14. She then moved to Price and attended Carbon High where she was active in drill team serving as an officer, excelled in math and science, and was a member of the National Honor Society. Her goal was to be the Math Sterling Scholar at Carbon High. Kaitlyn will be remembered as a happy, energetic, loving individual who loved serving others. She loved her family, cousins and friends. Kaitlyn loved everyone and was loved by all. She always had a beautiful SMILE for everyone. Kaitlyn is survived by her parents Emily (Brad) Roundy of Price and father Gregg A. Hansen of Castle Dale; brothers Cory (Brecca) Hansen of Orem, Taylor (Crystal) Hansen of Price and Gavin Hansen of Price; grandparents Gary & Kay Hansen of Payson, Clark & Ruth Clayson of Payson and Scott & Connie Roundy of Huntington; numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins; Emery & Carbon High families. She is preceded in death by cousin Brianna Hansen, uncle David V. Mortenson, great grandparents Reuel & Gladys Clayson, Harold & Audrey Rasmussen, Lloyd & Eleen Wilson and Bill & Stauney Hansen. A viewing will be held Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Price Stake Center, 150 South 500 East from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be Friday, May 8, 2015 at the Price Stake Center at 11:00 am with a viewing from 9:00 - 10:30 am. Services are entrusted to the care of Fausett Mortuary. Graveside services will be held at Payson Cemetery, 400 North 800 East, at 4:00 pm. Friends and family may sign the guestbook and share memories of Kaitlyn at www.fausettmortuary.com.
