Julia Tidwell

August 23, 1937 — August 11, 2018

Julia Maxine (Freeman) Tidwell, of Ferron, Utah passed away August 11, 2018 due to age-related illness; six months after the passing of husband Dick Tidwell. Born August 23, 1937 to Julia and Abner Freeman in Rapid City, South Dakota. At the age of six the family settled in Salt Lake City, Utah. Mom attended Murray Baptist Church before moving to Ferron in 1983, where she was a member of First Baptist Church of Emery County. Mom was the closest person to an Angel that has ever lived on Earth. We are at peace knowing that Mom is looking into the face of Jesus. Our mom loved Jesus and taught us and others the same love. Because of that, we have our Salvation and know we will be with her in Heaven. Mom had a love for cooking and could make a meal out of anything in her kitchen. She will especially be remembered for her Potato Salad. Preceded in death by husband Dickie; Parents; 3 brothers; infant daughter Judith Ann Carlisle; stepson Chipper Tidwell. Survived by her daughters Rayola (Steven) Pfnister, Shauna (David) Heddlesten; son Sammy O. Carlisle, stepsons Dustin, Cory, Casey (Trish) Tidwell; grandchildren Shane Sundquist, Chase Sundquist, Brittan (Kristie) Heddlesten, Jesica (Christopher) Thompson, Jonathan (Amber) Carlisle, Roger (Brittany) Carlisle; 1 sister; 3 brothers and 21 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 18, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Emery County, 35 West Mill Road, Ferron, UT at 1:00 p.m. with a viewing on August 17th from 6-8 p.m. and 1 hour prior to services.
