Joy Harrison

Joy Williams Harrison, 91, of Castle Dale, Utah passed away on March 10, 2023 in Price, Utah. Joy was the 5th child born to Dagmar Christine Miller and Nephi Lambert Williams in Castle Dale on December 5, 1931. Joy married her sweetheart, Samuel Thomas Harrison, on September 6, 1949 in the Manti L.D.S. Temple. To this union seven children were born, Mary Jean (Marr Duersch), Kristine-deceased (Dale Richards), Thomas (April), Bonnie (deceased), Nanette, Pamela (Brad-deceased), and David (Anna). To this family of seven, she had 21 grandchildren and 49 great grandchildren. She held numerous positions in the LDS church and had a deep love for her Savior. She shared her strong testimony often with her children and grandchildren. Joy was proud of her heritage and enjoyed sharing the stories of her ancestors. She lived a life of humility and always gave of anything she had in order to make others feel loved and valued. She was a great example of joy and service. She would feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and give of her time and talents to help those around her. She is preceded in death by her husband, Sam, daughters Bonnie and Kristine, grandson Doug, son-in-law Brad, her brothers Ray and Mark, and sisters Ruth and Jean. The family would like to thank the angels at Parkdale who so lovingly attended to all her needs. As Joy always said, "I'm Fine!" A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Castle Dale. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023 at the Castle Dale Stake Center at 35 E Main Street at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing from 9:30-10:30 prior to services.
