ORANGEVILLE - John Lee McCullough, "Mac", age 61, passed away December 1, 2013 at his home in Orangeville. Mac was born July 15, 1952 in Brewster, Washington to William Minear and Eva May Rosser McCullough. He married Sheli Rhinehart on May 30, 1981 in Stinnett, Texas.
Mac was born and raised in the Tri - City area of Washington. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He received his GED, and went on to complete four years of college studying Computer Graphics.
Mac loved working and being in the outdoors where he enjoyed activities such as camping, fishing, hunting, horseback riding, and 4-wheeling. He loved riding bareback in the rodeo. He also enjoyed traveling, especially with his family. By trade he was a rancher/farmer, handyman, and rough neck in the oil fields.
Mac's family was the most important thing in his life. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, friend, and hero.
Mac is survived by his wife, Sheli; children: Jason (Nola) McCullough of Orangeville, Jozlyn (Keith) Ganley of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Jashua McCullough of Big Island, Hawaii; siblings: William McCullough, Clyde McCullough, and Wanda Fencl, all of Washington; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jenifer Sherman; brother, Lester McCullough; and sister, Geneva Webb.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary (720 N. Center St., Castle Dale). Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the mortuary.
