In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still; in our hearts you hold a place, no one will ever fill. Our beloved wife and mother, Jody (Harrison) Porter passed away peacefully in her home on the morning of Monday November 16, 2015 with her dear husband at her side. Jody was born in Price, Utah on September 12, 1961 to Ted Merrideth and Beatrice Harrison. She was raised in Huntington, Utah by her mother and Doug Harrison. She was married to Paul Porter on September 12, 1980. She has lived in Orangeville, Utah her entire adult life. She graduated from Emery High School in 1979 and spent time studying drafting. In life she loved and was blessed with many talents. She will be remembered for her love of cooking, sewing, camping, fishing, and four-wheeling, often doing all of them at the same time. She enjoyed 4-H leadership roles where she was able to teach others the talents that she loved so much. She served in various callings in the Orangeville, Utah 2nd Ward and was able to build friendships with some very special people in her life. Later in life she and Paul developed a love for ham radio and were able to enjoy the hobby together as well as make friends with such a great network of people. Jody is survived by her husband Paul Porter, her daughters Jaycie (Lowell) Gardner and Beatrice (Joel) Jensen, and her pride and joy, her grandchildren; Wyatt, Tyson, Abbie and Jordan Gardner and Amy and Rowan Jensen. Jody is preceded in death by her mother Beatrice Harrison, her son Lyman Porter, and her sister Marilyn Braysher. She had such a love and knowledge of family history and genealogy that we are sure she is now enjoying a great reunion with loved ones that she has missed. Funeral services will be held Friday November 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Orangeville 2nd Ward Chapel, 45 West 100 South.
