Joan Curtis Snow, 87, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at her home in Salt Lake surrounded by her family. She was born May 6, 1931 in Orangeville, Utah to Ray and Vivian Curtis, the sixth child of seven (first daughter). She married her high school sweetheart Stanley Glen Snow on September 6, 1950 in the Manti Temple.
She was raised in Orangeville where she learned from her mother the art of homemaking. She and Stanley moved to Spring Glen where they raised their family. She loved to cook and bake and was famous for her bread. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many stake and ward callings. She and Stanley served four missions together and also many years in the Manti Temple. She was so compassionate, a friend to all, her home was always open to others. She was a devoted wife and mother.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years; children Beth (Leland) Gotfredson of Price, Becky (Preston) Wakefield of Taylorsville, Kerry (Suzanne) Snow of Breckenridge, TX, Curtis (Rita) Snow of West Jordan and Shauna (Jackson) McCourt of Spanish Fork; 21 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; sister Shauna and sister-in-law Nedra. Preceded in death by brothers Junior, Morris (Beverly), Kirk, Bob (Thora) and Rohmer (Jean); great grandchildren Luke Lee Humpherys and Kinsley Jo Richins.
A viewing will be held Monday, June 4, 2018 at Fausett Mortuary in Price, Utah from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Carbonville Ward in Spring Glen at 11:00 am with a viewing from 9:30 - 10:45 am.
