Joan Kone Anderson
Price- Joan Kone Anderson, 94, died peacefully February 25th 2013 at Castleview Hospital. Joan was born on October 19, 1918 to William Walter and Annie G Kone in Tooele, Utah. She married Wilson Jay Anderson on June 14, 1937 in Salt Lake City. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She lived in Tooele until 1953 when she and Wilson moved to Price to take over the Texaco Distributorship.
Joan was a resident of Price for 59 years. Where she raised her only child, Lori Jo Rowley. She enjoyed dancing, golfing, bowling, baking and spending time at the family cabin in Joes Valley with her loving husband.
Joan was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many callings. Her favorite calling was that of a visiting teacher, where she served faithfully. Joan was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. After the passing of her husband in 1980 she found comfort in surrounding herself with her daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. She was affectionately known as power Grandma because of her zest for life and energy. One of her favorite things was playing games and cards with her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. Joan always enjoyed eating Hostess Snowball Cakes and Coke.
She is survived by her daughter Lori Jo and Terry Rowley, 5 grandchildren, Brandon Rowley, Lindsay (Ryan) Hanson, Darron (Ashley) Rowley, Ashley (Cale) Cranney, Natalie (Trent) Greenhalgh, 11 Great Grandchildren, Mason, Ellie, Colton, Bracken, Jantz, Tucker, Tenley, Coy, Liddy, Kezlee and Amelia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four sisters and two brothers.
We will miss her sweet spirit, sense of humor and her contagious laugh.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 2 at 11:00 a.m. at the Price 4th-5th ward, 545 E. 400 N. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral from 10:00-10:45. Interment, Price City Cemetery.
