Janet Beach

With a profound sense of both loss and celebration, we honor the life of Janet Marlene Beach, who was born on December 20th, 1933, in Columbia, Utah, and was called to her eternal home on June 29th, 2023. Janet, loving, compassionate and independent in nature. Her kindness was not only reflected in actions but also in the way she lived her life. Janet was a beacon of light and love, who touched countless hearts with her warmth and generosity. She loved to travel and share her experiences with others. Her kind demeanor with children in the area earned her the nickname "the candy lady". Always smiling and ready with a treat for all those that would stop by. Janet spent her professional career as a Secretary in the Healthcare industry. She earned a diploma from Utah University of Technology for stenographer. Janet left Montana and moved back to where her home was with her brother Martin. As an active member of the LDS Church, she lived by the scripture, "When ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God" (Mosiah 2:17). Janet's faith was an integral part of her life, guiding her actions and inspiring those around her. The Church was very much Janet's life and her outlet to love those around her. The community loves Janet and Janet loved the community she is embraced by. Janet was a beloved friend, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Ballard and Mary "Maurine" Lewis, husband Rex Beach, brother Martin Ballard, sister Patricia Goan Steele and son Leonard Peterson. She is survived by her daughters Lynne McDonald and Debbie Clausen, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Janet's life will be celebrated with a Graveside Service on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at 11:00 am MDT at the Wellington City Cemetery, located at 2 Cemetery Road, Wellington, Utah, 84542.
