Hazel Dawn Kissell Hunt
Green River- Hazel Dawn Kissell Hunt age 89, passed away on June 30, 2010 in Spring City, Utah. She was born to John Wesley and Ruby Fitt Kissell on July 23, 1920 in Spring Canyon, Utah. She married Boyd Alvin Hunt on October 8, 1956 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Mom was raised in Spring Canyon, Castle Gate, Price, Utah. Mom enjoyed her family, she loved being with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, she always made her extended family feel important. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served in the Relief Society, Primary, as Ward Organist, Visiting Teacher, and also served a Spanish American Mission in El Paso, Texas. Mom taught school for several years in Price, Dugway, Monticello, and Green River. She enjoyed quilting, which she made for her family and also donated many to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Humanitarian efforts. Her hobbies included gardening, crocheting, embroidering, playing the piano and violin and teaching piano. She will be remembered for her love for others, by always doing for others.
She is survived by her children: Brian (Sonjia) Hunt of Loma, CO, and Dawn (Jerrold) Sterner of Spring City, UT, 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, 6 siblings, 1 grandchild, and 1 great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Green River LDS Chapel. There will be a viewing on Monday, July 5, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Price, and on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior the services at the church.
