Harolene Snyder

Harolene "Butch" Allred Thompson Snyder was born March 26, 1943 in Cleveland, Utah to Harold James and Norma Ray Madsen Allred. She passed away peacefully from natural causes on December 12, 2017. From the time Butch was a little girl, she learned the meaning of the word "Tough"! She was a country bumpkin through and through and was the most amazing athlete. Butch could sew anything and made many a young lady's wedding and prom dresses. She loved knitting booties for every new baby born into the family and couldn't understand why we new Mom's didn't know how! Butch had a beautiful singing voice, a generous heart and a feisty personality. She loved hunting, camping, and playing softball, but mostly, she loved her family. She married Robert C. Thompson on March 4, 1961 in Elko, Nevada. Together they had 3 boys, Robert Lee, Shayne and Kasey. Later divorced. She married LeRoy Snyder on December 27, 2002 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were never apart from that day on. Survived by her husband, LeRoy Snyder of Helper, Utah; her children, Shayne (Michelle) Thompson of Ferron, Utah and Kasey (Dee Dee) Thompson of Ferron, Utah; step children Tim, Troy, Tammy and Trudy; sibling Jed (Becky) Allred of Ferron, Utah; 29 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents; son Robert; siblings, Perk, DJ, Robbi, Deanna, Norma Lou and Bunny; step daughters Terry and Tina. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Ferron Stake Center with a viewing from 9:30 - 10:45 a.m. prior to services. A viewing will be held Friday, December 15, 2017 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Ferron Stake Center. Interment will be in the Ferron City Cemetery entrusted to Fausett Mortuary.
