Biography Glenn Melvin Dalton GREEN RIVER-Glenn Melvin Dalton age 83, passed away on February 27, 2014 in Grand Junction, Colorado. Glenn was born on March 16, 1930 in Denver, Colorado and adopted by Gerry and Blanche Phillips Dalton. He married Enith Inman later divorced, then married Jolene Scovill Winters on July 1, 1988 in Green River, Utah. Early in his life Glenn and his children built a cabin on Blue Mesa by Gunnison, Colorado, They enjoyed many good times at the cabin. He enjoyed fishing and being in the outdoors. His children remember him with his big Honda motorcycle. Glenn was a cowboy at heart, he had a collection of cowboy hats and boots, he also collected ram and eagle statues. He loved music and enjoyed playing his bass guitar he spent many hours on the front porch in his rocker. Glenn enjoyed his family especially his grandchildren. His favorite food was anything with hot sauce. Survived by his wife, Jolene of Green River, children: Glennith Johnson of Fruita, CO, Gerry (Tammie) Dalton of Grand Junction, CO, Bob (Leanne) Dalton of Lehi, UT, Pam Marsing of Seattle, WA, Dawnette Gilmore of Fruita, CO, 16 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and a sister, Ilene Shultz. Preceded in death by son, Benji, sons-in-law Sam Johnson, John Gilmore, sister Pat Corliss. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Green River LDS Chapel (95 North Clark Street.) A viewing will be held prior to the service at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Price City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
