George Justice

George Orson Justice Huntington: George Orson Justice, age 71, passed away Friday, September 16, 2011 at his home with his family at his side. Orson was born June 1, 1940 in LaPoint, Uintah County, Utah, one of 6 children born to George Jennings and Esther Jerome Majors Justice. Orson married Karren Palmer on August 15, 1959 in Huntington, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on March 2, 1964. They were blessed with six wonderful children. Orson grew up and attended school in Huntington, graduating from North Emery High in 1958. Following High School he attended CEU. Orson was a handyman and could fix anything. He loved to work and he worked hard and taught his children the value of hard work. He was a meat cutter by trade for over 52 years. He also taught this trade to the inmates at the state prison. Orson was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a Counselor in the Bishopric, Ward Missionary and in many other callings. He will be remembered as a hardworking, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his wife, Karren of Huntington; children, Julie Ann (Derk) Jones of Huntington, Orson Lane (Adele) Justice of Ferron, Robert Shane (Lynette) Justice of American Fork, Edwin Wane (Rolene) Justice of Huntington, Peggy Lee (Darce) Guymon of Cleveland, and William Jason "Jake" (Jenifer) Justice of Huntington; 37 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister Esther Gertson; two brothers-in-law, Jim Gertson and Jack Fields; and two grandsons, Brett and Courtney Justice. Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 21, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the Huntington LDS 1st Ward Chapel (115 South 400 East). There will be a viewing Tuesday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. both at the church. Interment will be in the Huntington City Cemetery.
