Gary Thompson

Thomas Gary Thompson Ferron-Thomas Gary Thompson, age 73, passed away on September 16, 2013 in Ferron, Utah. Gary was born on November 14, 1939 in Tooele, Utah to Thomas Henry and Helen S. Sloan Thompson. He married Jean Pederson, February 9th, 1959, they later divorced. He then married Janie Smith on May 3, 1986 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Gary enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He collected die-cast cars, motorcycles, banks, and fire trucks. Gary worked for Western Union Telegraph for over 30 years. He loved decorating his home and yard at Christmas time. Gary also enjoyed being outside and working in his yard. Gary is survived by his loving wife, Janie; daughter, Tammy Thompson; son, Tom Thompson; he also raised two nieces, Laurie Wiley and Debbie Thayer; brothers, Scott (Pam) Bailey, Mitch Boger, and Bobby Taylor; sister, Cathy (Allen) Baldonado; and many grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Tim Thompson; and brother, Dan (Betty) Thompson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 20, 2013 at Fausett Mortuary, 720 North Center St., Castle Dale. There will be a viewing Friday, from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m., prior to the services at the Mortuary. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
