Gary Lloyd Noyes
Gary Lloyd Noyes, the eternal companion to Elizabeth Roxanne Randall Noyes, the loving and devoted father to Bonnie, Kelsie, Baylie, Wade, and Drew, the kind and loving grandfather to Randy, Nicholas, Brayden, Tyson, and Jesse, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2010, at the age of 57, after a courageous battle with esophageal cancer and emphysema. Gary will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Gary was born June 30, 1953, to Lloyd David and Hope Grace Mortensen Noyes in Price, Utah, and spent most of his life in Carbon County. He moved to Cleveland, Emery County, Utah, after his marriage to his eternal sweetheart, Roxanne, on February 23, 2008, which was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on September 5, 2009.
Gary was preceded in death by his two precious children, Kimberlee Ann and Jason Gary Noyes, his grandparents, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is survived by his wife, Roxanne Noyes of Cleveland; parents, Lloyd (Hope) Noyes of Price; sister, Peggy Young of Wellington; brother, David (Janet) Noyes of Price; sister, Brenda (Mark) Dube of Tennessee; daughter, Bonnie (Michael) Tucker of San Diego; step-children: Kelsie (Richard) Simmons of Wellington, Baylie (Robert) Thomas of Price, Wade Bohn of Cleveland, and Drew Bohn of Wellington; and his five grandsons: Randy and Nicholas Badgett of California, Brayden and Tyson Thomas of Price, and Jesse Simmons of Wellington.
Gary was very happy and proud that after many years of being, quote, "in-active" in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he returned and enjoyed full church participation. He enjoyed doing temple work for deceased family members which was one of his favorite pastimes while he was still healthy enough to do it.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 16, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the Cleveland LDS Chapel (355 West 100 North, Cleveland). There will be a viewing Wednesday, September 15, 2010, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the church and Thursday from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be at 3:00 p.m. at the Wellington City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary. Family and friends may share memories of Gary and sign the guestbook at www.fausettmortuary.com.
We will dearly miss this special man who brought so much joy and happiness to our lives for the short time he was in it. We will be eternally grateful for all he has blessed us with. May he rest in peace.
