Fred H. Tryon
PRICE- Fred Hartley Tryon, 72, our loving father, husband, brother, grandfather and friend passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, August 1, 2013. Fred was born in Price on June 23, 1941 to Rex and Irene Hartley Tryon. He married Petra Cabral on August 5, 1963 in Eagle Pass, Texas, one week shy of their 50th Wedding Anniversary.
Fred was raised in Wellington with 3 brothers and 4 sisters. In 1968, Fred and his brothers Rex and David started Fred's Glass Shop. He retired at the early age of 57 where he devoted his time watching his five grandchildren.
Dad's greatest joy was his family and friends. He loved the outdoors, camping, hunting and fishing especially at Lake Powell. Dad was a spectacular cook with dutch ovens.
He is survived by his wife, Petra, sons, Joe (Carla) Tryon, Mike (Laurie) Tryon, five grandchildren Michael, Seth, Taylor, Ashley and Alex, brother, David (Judy) Tryon, sisters, Elaine Naylor and Vodis (Hayden) Hunter, sisters-in-law, Tina (Jim) Collins, Ernestina Cabral and Juana (Ramiro) Esparza, brothers-in-law, Larry Williams and Neldon Christensen and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, youngest son David, brothers, Bernell and Rex Tryon, sisters, Mary Christensen, Pat Williams and brother-in-law, Lynn Naylor.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Price LDS 4th Ward Chapel (545 East 400 North). A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Price City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
