Franklin Frisbie

September 7, 1942 — November 30, 2024

Franklin Eugene Frisbie

Franklin Eugene Frisbie passed away on November 30, 2024, in Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah.

He is survived by three children, Candice (Ken) Whetstone, Las Vegas NV, Michelle (Rod) Edwards, Mesa AZ, and Jason (Rachel) Frisbie, Chandler AZ; one brother, William Glenn Frisbie (Jr), Castle Dale UT. He also has 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, plus 2 more on the way in addition to many nieces and nephews.

Frank was the third son in a line-up of four boys. He was born September 7, 1942, in Lawrence, Kansas to Helen Marie Beal Frisbie and William Glen Frisbie.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents and his two older brothers, Clifford Wayne Frisbie and Ralph Leroy Frisbie.

He moved from Kansas to Grand Junction, Colorado when he was young and spent much of his youth there. After he graduated from high school, he joined the US Air Force where he traveled all over the United States and internationally. He was married to Elaine Durffee on July 10, 1964, and all three of his children were born on different Air Force bases around the world over the next several years. They later divorced and Frank lived in several more locations across the country while he served people in whatever capacity he could, including providing health care to a friend who was special to him and building log cabins for work. Although he had strong feelings and opinions about many different topics, he preferred to never be in conflict and always wanted peaceful relationships with those around him.

Frank returned to Huntington around 1998 to be closer to his mother and assist her in her aging years. He was able to help take care of her and ensure that she could stay in her own home until she passed away in 2002. A few years later, he purchased a home just a couple of doors away from hers and has lived in Huntington ever since.

Frank loved to tinker and build things and work with his hands. He even built a sand rail in his younger years when he was living in Arizona. He seemed to have a never-ending supply of projects to do no matter where he lived. He was happiest when he was out riding on a dirt road. He loved nature and exploring the outdoors as often as possible. He would take his side-by-side and explore the country around Huntington on a regular basis.

Frank loved meeting his brother, Wayne, every Thursday to have some lamb stew over at the Cowboy Club in Wellington until Wayne passed away four years ago. Then his younger brother, William Frisbie, picked up the reins after his own retirement and would meet Frank for lunch every week. Willie and Frank had their final lunch together on Thanksgiving Day.
