Fay Brasher Roper Huntington: After fully enjoying a rich and rewarding life, our beloved Fay Brasher Roper passed away, October 29, 2010 at the age of 96. Fay and her twin sister, Fawn, were born March 7, 1914 to John William and Mary Gillispie Brasher in Huntington, UT. She was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 5 sisters. Fay married Milton Leo Roper, June 22, 1932 in the Salt lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on February 5, 1997. Fay left a legacy of family, unconditional love, faith , friendship and service. She worked for the Emery County School Lunch, retiring July 1, 1977. She served in the Huntington Lions Club for more than 57 years. An active and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, she served many years in Relief Society and 50 years in Primary. Fay is survived by four children: Donald (Marian) Roper, Fawn (Ken) Kendrick, JoAnn (Chuk) Fife, Clifford (Terri) Roper, 15 Grandchildren, 60 Great Grandchildren and 8 Great-Great Grandchildren. The family wishes to express our deep heart felt gratitude to those who have loved, cared for and provided compassionate service. Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Huntington LDS Stake Center (240 N. Main). A viewing will be Monday, November 1, 2010 from 6-8 P.M. at Fausett Mortuary in Castle Dale (720 N. Center St.) and on Tuesday from 9:30-10:30 prior to the services at the Stake Center. Interment will be in the Huntington City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary. Friends and family may sign the guest book and share memories of Fay at www.fausettmortuary.com.
