Eugene Winder

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Eugene Floyd Winder, 67, of Elmo, Utah on August 30, 2022. He went to ride the eternal range with his parents Floyd & Jessie May Winder after a long battle with cancer. He was born April 28, 1955 in Spanish Fork, Utah to Floyd & Jessie May Brinkerhoff Winder. He married Trina Walker, they had a son Jeremy E. Winder, 47, together. They later divorced. He joined the National Guard in Provo. He then met his wife of 44 years, Sherry Lowe Winder, they married May 2, 1978. Eugene became the father of her three children. They went on to have one more child together. He moved to Alaska where he and family spent seven years. He came back to work on his one true love, farming. Throughout his life time he had many professions, diesel mechanic, truck driver, Alaska oil field. But he always came back to farming and his cows. He is survived by wife Sherry, sons Jeremy E. Winder of Georgia, Chad (Britanya) Oberg of Montana, and Jeremy Q. (Tonya) Winder of Price, Utah, daughters Shirley Smith and Trudy (Scott) Snider of Price, 11 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, sister Darla Butler, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by parents Floyd & Jessie May, brother Jess Ray, nephew Brody Talbot, brother-in-law Randy Butler. A viewing will be held Monday, September 5, 2022 at Fausett Mortuary, 680 East 100 South, Price, Utah from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. An additional viewing on Tuesday, September 6, at funeral home from 12:00 noon - 1:00 pm. Followed by a graveside service at the Cleveland Cemetery at 2:00 pm entrusted to Fausett Mortuary.
