Eugene P. Campbell, age 89, passed away peacefully at home on October 1, 2020. Gene was born on July 18, 1931 to Harrison and Edith Campbell. He met and married Lorraine Leroy Sitterud in 1974 while working as a traveling journeyman plumber/pipe fitter at the Huntington Power Plant. For the first time in his life, he laid down roots, in Huntington, Utah.
Gene was a gifted carpenter and musician. After retirement, he and Lorraine traveled throughout the entire United States whenever possible, for months at a time. After her death in 2015, Gene's fondest tales were memories of their adventures together on the road.
Gene and Lorraine had a blended family of ten children and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, all over the United States. Gene's love of the great outdoors, his generosity in giving to others, his love of God and family, his service to his country (Korean War), his love of music (including composing),
his dedication to hard work and always giving everything his best, is evidenced in all ten of his children and their children. Hard workers, great adventurers in travel, pastors/evangelists, gifted carpenters and musicians, all branches of the service represented, gifted homemakers, educators, medical, corporate, real estate and legal
professionals, banking, coal mining, construction, hair stylists/salon owners. He was proud of their hard work and accomplishments. His advice and wisdom was simple and straightforward.
