Eda Nielson

October 26, 1932 — January 30, 2020

Eda Joann Nielson was born on October 26, 1932 in Huntington, Utah to Robert and Anna Nielson. She passed away on January 30, 2020. Eda was a lifelong faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Her most beloved calling was being a temple worker at Mt. Timpanogas for 10 years. Eda served in The United States Women's Army Corps earning the rank of Sergeant First Class. She received her Bachelors Degree from SUU and Masters Degree from BYU. Eda taught at Intermountain Indian School in Brigham City and Mont Harmon Jr. High in Price then finished her career as a counselor at Carbon High School. Eda is survived by her children Richard Massman, Janet (Phil) Broadhead, Patti (Tony) Pinedo, Mandy Lee, and son-in-law Arland Sherman, 16 Grandchildren and 31 Great Grandchildren; sister Marilyn Wilcock and sister-in-law Patti Nielson. Eda is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Bob and Jim, sister and brother-in-law Jean & Hampton McArthur, brother-in-law Joe Wilcock, and daughter Danna Sherman. A graveside service will held Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at 1:00pm at the Huntington City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Fausett Funeral home.
