Earl Grant Smith
West Valley/Price: Earl Grant Smith, age 53, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 12 in West Valley City. Earl was born March 15, 1959 in Dragerton, UT one of seven children born to F. Grant Smith Jr. and BenaLee Black Smith.
Earl was raised in Price and graduated from Carbon High School in 1977. He was a Master Chef, and began his cooking career at the young age of 5. He loved cooking for his family get-togethers, especially on the Holidays. Earl was a family man who loved and cared about others. He loved music and was a wonderful dancer. Earl will be remembered as someone who always helped others and who had a big heart.
Earl is survived by his partner, Keith Edgehouse of West Valley; brother, Bill (Jim) Smith of Cleveland, OH; sister, Lorri (Norman) Browning of Price, UT; brothers-in-law, Joe (Kim) Edgehouse of Castle Dale, UT, Steve (Sheila) Edgehouse of Mt. Pleasant, OH; sisters-in-law, Chris Finney of Tiltonsville, OH, and Tina (John) Freeland of Dillonvale, OH; special niece, Tammi (Alan) Atwood of Clearfield, UT; special service dog, Precious; and many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Earl was preceded in death by his grandparents, Forrest and Sarah Smith; parents, F. Grant Jr. and BenaLee Smith; three sisters, Jamie Naylor, Tamra Smith and Lorri Smith; brother, Gary Smith; nephew, Mike Browning; parents-in-law, Steve and Mary Edgehouse; and two brothers-in-law, Norman Finney and Mike Edgehouse.
Graveside memorial services will be Friday, July 20, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Price City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary. Family and friends may sign the guestbook and share memories of Earl at www.fausettmortuary.com.
