Earl Knight
Unitah Basin-Earl Joseph Knight, age 80, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2010 at the VA Medical Center in Salt Lake City. He was born on February 8, 1930 to Earl Jessie and Violet Murphy Knight. He lived most of his life in the Unitah Basin.
He had many varied skills. He was an avid reader and had a large library of his favorite books. He was a Heavy Machine Operator for Duchesne County. He loved plowing snow and his favorite route was through Nine Mile Canyon.
He worked in the Manti and Salt Lake City LDS Temples. He and his wife also served several service missions. He was very knowledgeable in the gospel and his children and grandchildren always valued his opinions and insights.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sadie Snyder Knight, his children, Vickie (Jay) Bryant, of Salina, UT, Randy (Marsha) Knight of Stansbury Park, UT, Steven (Ilene) Knight of Helper, and Penny (Paul) Adams of Myton, UT; two sisters, Eula Lorimer of Roosevelt, UT and Kayleen Gray, of Pittsburg, PA, 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by grandson, Benjamin Joseph Knight.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 Camp Williams Rd., Bluffdale, UT. A viewing will be held one hour prior.
