Donna Fern Majors
“Grandma Fern”
HUNTINGTON- Donna Fern Majors, age 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by her three girls on April 22, 2024. Donna was born on the third month 30th day of 42 (how she said her birthday) in Castle Dale, UT to Ferris Neilson and Martha Anderson and stepfather William “Buster” Weston.
Donna married the cowboy of her life James Elmo Majors on December 30th, 1959. Donna was raised in Castle Dale “up on the hill” where she called her home. Donna and Jim lived in 5 different states for Jim’s oil rigging career. She met a lot of special friends along the way. Flagstaff, Arizona had her heart but later settled in Huntington where they raised their children. Donna dedicated her time to Huntington Elementary as a custodian. She loved the Utah Jazz, watching all her girls play softball and volleyball, as well as cheering on all her granddaughters at dance, gymnastics, cheerleading and sporting events. She became a football, baseball, and wrestling fan watching all her grandsons. Donna was everyone's biggest fan and loudest cheerleader. Donna could bring out laughter in everyone; laughing until you cried. She was a bingo fanatic and loved to gamble. Donna was a spitfire and a true momma bear. She dedicated her life to her family and her 3 precious daughters which later turned to grandkids and great grandkids.
Donna is survived by her daughters, Jimie Dawn Jones, Joy Lynn Majors, Kelly Diane Majors, all of Huntington; the enjoyments of her life, her grandkids, Vanessa, Jinan, KC Jo, Kyla, Colby, Jennifer and Andrea; 14 great grands; and 1 great-great grandchild; her pretty sissy, Peggy (Curtis) White, Manila, UT; brothers-in-law, Jerry (Jackie) Majors, NC, Zen (Teresa) Majors, Richfield; sister-in-law, Judy Palmer, Cleveland, UT.; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
