Don Clement

DON RAPH CLEMENT CLAWSON - Don Raph Clement, 91, died March 14, 2016 at his home. He was born to Raphael and Pearl Olsen Clement on November 8, 1924 in Salt Lake City, UT. He was the oldest of 10 children - one who died at birth. He grew up in Fairview, UT working on the family farm. He served in the Merchant Marine and Navy during WWII. He married B. Dareen Brady on February 1, 1949, later solemnized in the Logan Temple. Together they had six children. Don was active in the LDS church. The family moved to Emery County in 1979. He loved horses and farming, ships and the sea, riding horses and hiking on the desert and music. He is survived by children Trudie (Jay) Waddoups of Clawson, UT; Mitzi (Craig) Nyborg of Columbia, UT; Myra Shelley of Brookings, OR; Matthew (Sherry) Clement of Woodland Hills, UT; Benjamin (Collette) Clement of Price, UT and Tawna (Trent) Burton of Taylorsville, UT; 35 grandchildren & 43 great grandchildren; siblings Bud (Joy) Clement of WA; Devon (Kim) Clement of OR; Carroll (Mary) Clement of St. George, UT; Barbara (Norman) Wright of Provo, UT; Shanna (Bart) Czirr of Mapleton, UT; Charles (Ruth) Clement of WA; and Susan Kirby of WA. He is preceded in death by his wife Dareen, parents Raphael and Pearl, sister Beverly, brother Gary and grandson Zachary. A viewing will be held Friday, March 18, 2016 at Fausett Mortuary in Castle Dale from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Funeral service is Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 11:00 am with a viewing before at 10:00 at the Blue Hills Chapel in Ferron. Burial will be at Fairview City Cemetery (upper) about 3:00.
