It was a blustery day on January 13, 1992 when a tiny, red-head, baby boy was welcomed into the loving arms of Edmond Isaac Taylor and Julie Hansen. David Isaac Taylor was immediately loved and adored by his older sisters Katy and Becky.
David grew up loved by all. He was energetic and full of excitement for exploration. David's giant personality filled any room he entered. He loved to make others laugh and could often be found cracking jokes, pulling pranks or tickling on the run.
Camping and the outdoors were always pulling at David. He was skilled at catching lizards and snakes. David would often go out alone on his bike or on adventures with his friends. We will not forget sledding down hills on metal sheets, throwing rocks the size of small cars, exploring the back hills of Carbon County, and sleeping outside in his tent in the backyard all summer long.
David was an Eagle Scout. His American Red Cross Blood Drive at Carbon High has nearly doubled in size, a legacy and tribute to him. The school now hosts the drive twice a year.
David was always giving. He would often give rides to friends and share his possessions. He's known to have taken money from his wallet to give to a single mother in line in front of him at the grocery store. He was always thinking of others first.
David was beloved by his younger brother and sister, Richard and Jenny. He was their protector, their friend, their confidant. He was awesome "Uncle Davey" to his niece and nephews. He always made sure they got little presents, hugs, and especially love.
David had an inquisitive mind. He loved puzzles. He spent hours working out problems. He explored Quantum Physics using duct tape, paper, an Exacto knife and a laser pointer. He could solve Rubik cubes of all levels. David loved The Legend of Zelda.
October 27, 2014 was a cold, fall day when David finally lost his battle on this earth and ended his mortal journey. He returns to our Father in Heaven and we pray he finds comfort and peace.
David is survived by his parents, Ed & Julie, siblings: Katy & Brandon (brother-in-law), Rebecca, Jennifer, and Richard; niece and nephews: Alexis, Domenic and Skyler; Grandmas: Margaret Hansen (ID), Beth Taylor (UT), and Lisa Hansen (ID); and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandpas, Don Taylor and Darrel Hansen.
A short service will begin at 7:00 pm, followed by a celebration of David's life on November 10, 2014 at the Old Institute Building, 380 North 400 East, Price Utah.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to the American Red Cross in honor of David Taylor's Eagle Scout project. Help keep his legacy going.
