David Pope

David G. Pope Price-David G. Pope age 88, passed away on August 28, 2012 in Provo, Utah. He was born on July 28, 1924 to William Alfred and Essie Shupe Pope in Taos, New Mexico. David married Georgia Anne Thomas for time and all eternity on January 9, 1953 in Mesa, Arizona. David was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, served in various callings including two full time missions both in Tahiti. David was a jack of all trades; nothing he couldn't fix or do. He enjoyed helping others, loved being with people, telling stories, especially enjoyed spending time with family. He is survived by his wife Georgia, children: David (Lonette) Pope Jr., of Porterville, CA, Holly (Levan) Hall of Price, UT, Tammy (Christopher) Rigert of Price, UT, Todd F. Pope of Price, UT, 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Michael Shaun Pope, one brother and one sister. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Price LDS 7th & 8th Ward Building, 995 East 700 North, Price, Utah. A viewing will be held on Monday, September 3, 2012 at Fausett Mortuary, 680 East 100 South, Price, Utah from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
