David Eric Knott
It is with great sadness that the family of David Eric Knott announces his unexpected passing in Salt Lake City on June 18, 2018, from a medical condition at the age of 50. He was born December 23, 1967, in Wheatridge, Colorado, to William E. Knott and Kathleen Erickson Knott. He was a graduate of Carbon High School where he participated in football and basketball, he was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
David will be lovingly remembered by his children, Jaxton and Hannah to whom he was very devoted, his parents, Bill and Kathy Knott of Wellington, UT., siblings Darren and Suzanna Knott of Nashville, TN., Amy and Mark Jespersen of Price, UT., Craig and Eve Knott of Heber City, UT., Jennifer Wolfe and Thomas Hines of Portland, OR., many nieces and nephews who adore their "Uncle Davy," also, his aunts, uncles, and cousins, most of whom reside in the Salt Lake area. Others who were important in his life were Billie Heilesen, mother to Jaxton and Hannah, and Savanna Wallberg, long-time friend and companion.
David was a great father, friend, and brother who loved sports, solving mechanical problems, and working with electronics. Given a little time and a repair manual or a YouTube video, he could fix almost anything. He loved spending time with his kids camping, swimming, and exploring on foot with four-wheelers. He enjoyed searching the deserts around Carbon and Emery Counties for artifacts and minerals, and had a love for and an extensive knowledge of the interesting places to explore and the geology around his hometown of Price, UT. David never wanted to live anywhere else. He was always willing to help anyone who asked, including his mom and dad and even their neighbors and friends. We will miss you David!
A funeral service in memory of David will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at the Wellington 1st Ward, (50 North 100 East, Wellington, UT.) with a viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 and the service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Cliffview Cemetery, Price, UT.
