Daniel Clark Keller Price-Daniel Clark Keller, age 87, passed away peacefully at home on September 27, 2012 in Price, Utah. Dan was born in Manti, Utah on July 18, 1925 to loving parents, Clark and Lucile Anderson Keller. Dan married Athlen Olsen on September 15, 1952, in the Manti Utah LDS Temple. Dan and Athlen recently celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary. Dan spent many wonderful days growing up in Manti. As a young man, he learned much from hearing stories about his pioneer ancestry. Dan attended grade school through high school in Manti, acting as class president his senior year. Dan went on to attend Snow College in Ephraim, Utah, for a short time before joining the Army Air Corps at the height of World War II in 1943. Dan was trained and assigned to be a bottom ball turret gunner on a B-17 bomber based in England. He flew 35 missions over Germany and received the Air Medal before returning home. After his military service, Dan completed his studies at Snow College. Dan served an LDS mission to England from 1947-1949. After his mission service, Dan enrolled in the University of Utah, earning a law degree in 1952. Dan and Athlen moved to Price in June of 1953 for Dan to practice law, making Price their home for the past 59 years. Dan practiced law with Duane Frandsen, Michael Jensen, and Michael Harrison. Dan was known for his compassion and integrity. Dan also served a term as county attorney after being elected in 1968. Dan served as an LDS bishop, high councilman, member of the stake presidency, patriarch, and sealer in the Manti Temple. Dan and Athlen served a couples mission to Anaheim, California from 1996-97 and were temple workers in the Manti Temple from 1998-2007. Dan loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He had a special love for Fish Lake, and some of his best times were spent there with his loved ones at the family cabin. He also enjoyed watching and cheering for BYU football. Dan is survived by his wife: Athlen; children: Michael (Lana) Keller, Karen (Greg) Hunt, John (Linda) Keller, Joan (Jim) Vogel, Richard Keller and Sheldon Stack, Mary Ann (Marcus) Detlor, and Caroline Keller; 21 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and brother, Conrad (Margaret) Keller.
