Cloris Shumway

Cloris Shumway East Carbon-Cloris Shumway age 87, passed away on March 13, 2011 in Price, Utah. Cloris was born on April 20, 1923 to Earl and Vivian Jones in Morhland, Utah. She married William R. Shumway on October 14, 1939 their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on May 22, 1953. William passed away on September 20, 1996. Cloris was an active member of the LDS church and held many positions including service in the Manti LDS Temple. She loved to sing and had a great passion for driving her Chrysler. Cloris lived a good long life and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her children: Linda (Roy) Hackwell, Michael (Sheila) Shumway, Stephen (Christiana) Shumway, 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and a sister, Pat Johnson. She is preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill), parents, daughter, Jackie Sims, brother, Jerry Jones and sister, Jean Owen. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Huntington City Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. prior to the graveside service at Fausett Mortuary in Price, Utah (680 East 100 South). Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
