Clifford Collard

Huntington Utah, Clifford Dean Collard, 89 died April 16, 2021 at Pinnacle Care Center in Price, Utah. He was born on July 14, 1931 to Dean and Elma Ottesen Collard. He was married to his Sweetheart LaRena Mortensen on July 16, 1955, in Emery, Utah. Cliff grew up in Huntington, Utah and worked the family farm, he graduated from North Emery High School at which time he worked as a Tippleman at Hiawatha and for the forest service before he enlisted in the Navy in 1951. He served in the Navy as a third-class petty officer during the Korean War, he traveled around the world three times during his service and was honorably discharged in 1954. During this time, he met his Sweetheart LaRena Mortensen of Emery and they were married on July 16, 1955 in Emery, Utah and later solemnized in the Logan Temple. Cliff was an extremely hard worker who enjoyed working at various jobs during his lifetime. He built a home in Huntington and was a great handyman. He loved fishing, hunting, boating, and spending time in the outdoors. He loved spending time with his family. Cliff is survived by his brother Leo Bruce (Marge) Collard of Layton, his children Janet (Nathan) Phipps of Thompson Falls, MT, JoLene (Gary) Stevens of Ferron, Dean (Christy) Collard of Huntington, Christian (Marilyn) Collard of 84, PA and his 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Dean and Elma Collard, his Sweetheart LaRena Mortensen, his brother Max Collard, his grandsons Jason Stevens and Chad Collard and his son in law Scott Kinder. Graveside Services will be held Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Huntington Cemetery. Viewing will be held Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Heritage Funeral Home in Huntington. Interment will be at the Huntington Cemetery. Service are in the care of Heritage Funeral Home, friends and family may sign the guest book and share memories of Clifford at www.heritagefuneralhomeutah.com.
