Claude Andrew Wheeler
Price-Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Brother returned to the loving arms of his Father in Heaven after an extended illness on June 14, 2011 in Price, Utah. He was born April 27, 1924 to Marion William and Helen (Nellie) Dick Wheeler in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. He married his sweetheart, Phyllis Keele on May 30, 1948 in Price, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple.
Claude was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints, served in various callings: bishopric, ward clerk, home teacher, and temple worker. He was a member of the U.M.W.A., working as an electrician / mechanic for over 30 years in local mines. He was a successful business entrepreneur. Claude served honorably in the United States Navy during World War II.
He was a loving husband and father; his greatest joy in life was his family and the gospel of Jesus Christ. He enjoyed working, hunting, and fishing with his family. He always had a can-do attitude. He built his own home and mountain cabin.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Keele Wheeler, children: Claude (April) Wheeler Jr., of Herriman, UT, Debra Libby, of Ely, England, Linda (Jack) Stoyanoff, of Huntington, UT, Scott (Maureen) Wheeler, of Price, UT, Mary Wheeler, of Eugene, OR, Lanett Draper, of Ashland, OR, sister, Isobell Kelly, of CA, sister-in-law, Esther Wheeler, of Price, UT, 21 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Nellie Wheeler, son, Kevin Wheeler, granddaughter, Jaymee Callor, brother Marion Wheeler, brother-in-law Gill Kelly.
Claude left behind a legacy of love for his family and a strong testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He was a man of integrity, honor and believed in working hard. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 20, 2011 at 11:00 am at the Price LDS 3rd Ward Chapel (303 West 500 South). A viewing will be held Sunday, June 19, 2011 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary (680 East 100 South - Price, Utah) and on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Price City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary. Family and friends may sign the guest book and share memories of Claude at www.fausettmortuary.com.
