HUNTINGTON - Charlene Ann Lewis Oviatt, age 61, passed away as a result of an automobile accident on Nov. 20, 2015. She was born on Sept. 3, 1954 in Price, Utah to Charles & Shannah Gardner Lewis. She was 1 of 7 children. Charlene was raised in Salt Lake City when she was younger and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She married Jerry Lee Oviatt in the Salt Lake Temple on Dec. 7, 1973. After their marriage they moved to Huntington, Utah where they have lived and raised their children. Charlene loved life. She enjoyed volleyball and traveling. She was an avid reader. She was a breast cancer survivor and most importantly, a wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family and especially her 5 grandchildren.
Charlene is survived by her husband Jerry Lee Oviatt of Huntington; children Bryan (Kim) Oviatt of Kaysville, James (Laura) Oviatt of Orem, Erick (Marisa) Oviatt of Hyrum and Shannah Oviatt of Orem; 5 grandchildren Shelby, Kailee, Sydni, Treyton, and Elliana; parents Charles & Shannah Lewis of Salt Lake City; siblings Larraine (Gary) Pierce of Huntington, Debra (Randy) Martin of Magna, Claudia (Jeff) Prout of Magna, Sanford (Wendy) Lewis of Murray, Ronald Lewis of Salt Lake and Clinton (Stacy) Lewis of Rose Park.
A viewing will be held Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015 from 5:00-7:00 pm at the Huntington Stake Center in Huntington, UT. Funeral services will be held at the Stake Center on Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2015 at 11:00 am with a viewing an hour prior to services. Interment will follow in the Huntington City Cemetery.
