Listen To Service\n\nCarolyn Rose Barney\n\nOur beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, Carolyn Rose Barney, age 74, passed away on July 14, 2009, surrounded by family in Elko, Nevada.\n\nShe was born January 17, 1935 in Panaca, Nevada, to Merrill and Kate Larsen. She married Clinton Verl Thorngren on June 17, 1954 in Circleville, Utah. He passed away in March, 1960. She then married William Lee Barney on September 1, 1960, in Ely Nevada.\n\nCarolyn was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.\n\nShe loved cooking, drinking Pepsi, music, and family reunions. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, and spoiling her grandchildren.\n\nShe was a proud seamstress at Koret's from its opening day to the day it closed, and would sew for her family in her spare time.\n\nShe is survived by her husband, William, her two daughters, Ramona (Delbert) and Cathy (Paul), her two sons, Dennis (Jennifer) and Wesley, ten grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.\n\nShe was preceded in death by her parents, her grandchildren Sharon and Jared, and her younger brother Burt.\n\nFuneral services will be Saturday, July 18, 2009 at the Cleveland LDS Church at 11:00 a.m. A viewing will be Friday, July 17 Fausett Mortuary in Price from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m and on Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the services.
