Arlene Barney
FERRON - Arlene Barney, age 80, passed away April 27, 2013 at her home in Ferron, Utah. Arlene was born November 20, 1932 in Springville, Utah to Mansuel and Esta Pierce Singleton. She married Leo Stark in Manti, Utah. Leo passed away in 1957. She then married McCoy Barney January 7, 1959 in Provo, Utah. McCoy passed away in 2012.
Arlene was raised in Springville. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, puzzles, word searches, and music. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt who was always concerned about the well-being of others before her own. She was very caring, loving, and unselfish.
Arlene is survived by her children: Kim (Gene) Allred of Ferron, Tina (Robbie Tuttle) Isaacson of Loma, Colorado, and Corrina (James) Perkins of Crescent City, California; siblings: Shirley (Danny Glispy) Mohler of Mapleton, Utah, Anita Brown of Cedar City, Utah, Sylvia Berryhill of Cedar City, Utah, Roma Hone of Springville, Utah, Maxine Singleton of Bethany, Missouri, Collette Perkins of Bethany, Missouri, Johnny (Carol) Singleton of Eureka, Utah, Larry (Mary) Singleton of Eagle Mountain, Oregon, Ivan (Two) Singleton of St. Helena, Oregon, and Bud (Carol) Singleton of St. Helena, Oregon; 20 grandchildren; and 25 1/2 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mansuel and Esta Singleton; husbands, McCoy Barney and Leo Stark; five, children: Steven, Joanne, Terry Lee, Timothy, and Jeff; granddaughter, Nicole Faith; and sister, Mary Kathleen.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Ferron at the Bluehills and Millsite LDS Wards Chapel (35 West 200 North). There will be a viewing Wednesday at the church from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the Ferron City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
