Alberta Christensen

Alberta Christensen Wellington- Alberta Christensen, age 97 passed away at her home in Wellington on November 10, 2010. She was born November 9, 1913 to Albert Edward and Martha Maria Beck Puzey in Spring City, Utah.. Alberta married Grant Bertess Christensen on August 2, 1933 in Manti UT. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple in June 1935. Grant passed away on Oct. 16, 1998. Alberta was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in numerous callings throughout her life. She was a wonderful cook and loved reading. Her family was her life and she lived her life to serve them. Alberta loved spending time with her family, be it special occasions or just visiting with each other, yet she especially loved all of her grandchildren, all of whom held a special place in her heart. Alberta is survived by her children: Helen (Don) Allred of Kearns, UT, Elden (Kathryn) Christensen of Taylorsville, UT, Janice (Jerry-Deceased) Powers of Stansbury Park, UT, Ned (Jolene) Christensen of Eugene, OR and Joyce (Kenneth) Powell of Price, UT. 23 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren and 24 great-great-grandchildren, brothers: Willard (Bessey) Puzey of Richfield, UT, and Nad (Gwen) Puzey of Spring City, UT, sister-in-law: Mildred Puzey of Mesquite, NV, She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, 3 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 5 sisters, 2 brothers, 1 son-in-law. Funeral Services will be Monday, November 15, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., at the Wellington 1st and 4th Ward building (50 N. 100 E.). A viewing will be held on Sunday, November 14th from 6-8 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Price (680 E. 100 S.) and on Monday at the church from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the services at the church.
